When you're a kid, and there's adults that just don't connect with you -- you just have to be honest about that.

There's this pressure to go, "Well, they're adults, so they must have a handle on this." Nope. I mean, there was the Roosevelt administration and World War II...very different times!

Sometimes you just don't connect.
