When old emotions come up, it means that something new and good is pushing them towards the surface...

That's what someone told me. The corollary is that we should celebrate the new thing. But it just fills me with this melancholy -- that bittersweet moment when you realize everything you'd be carrying before.

And unfortunately, I still have a schedule to keep.
