My mistake was assuming he'd be reasonable, I guess. Learn something about your "friends." Probably my fault for having been so naive all along. And for caring too much about what my friends think.

Now this looks like one of those moments where you say "You're dismissing your feelings with sweeping abstractions." But, no, there can be situations where this is, in fact, what's going on.
