And yet there were two parties Saturday night. A friend of B's, and an all-night drinking fest with a small group of geeks. I had fun -- at the second party, where I knew people. One female geek even followed me home...

She was locked out of her apartment. We talked into the morning. It was a good conversation, but she left suddenly.

I thought I'd made a new friend.

But she didn't answer my email....
